Join our Workshops in May
We're repeating our online workshop series in May that take a closer look at our 5 Steps to becoming a Single Friendly Church.
The workshops are 1-hour interactive sessions with opportunities to brainstorm ideas with others. Aimed at church leaders and single people who want to champion this in their churches.
Churches who go on to complete our 5 Steps Audit will be invited to become an official Single Friendly Church and appear on our map of UK churches.
Workshop 1: Language and Welcome in a Single Friendly Church
Wednesday 19th May, 11am
This workshop is focussing on Steps 2 and 3 (Language and Welcome). We'll be discussing how to adapt the language you use in church to ensure that everyone feels included and valued. We'll also look at how you can welcome people coming on their own, include single people in the social life of the church, and support them with some of the challenges of single life.
Workshop 2: Teaching and Leadership in a Single Friendly Church
Wednesday 26th March, 11am
This workshop is focussing on Steps 4 and 5 (Teaching and Leadership). We'll be discussing how to adapt the teaching and prayer in your church to ensure that everyone feels included and valued. We'll also look at how and why single people should be represented in different levels of leadership of the church.
